Contact SnapNick — Corrections, Requests & Takedowns

Contact SnapNick — one inbox for corrections, requests and takedowns

Write to SnapNick at [email protected] — one inbox for everything. Corrections, nickname requests, copyright notices and complaints all arrive in the same place, and we reply within five working days. There is no contact form to fill in and nothing to sign up for.

Email us

The address is [email protected]. It is read by the SnapNick Editorial Team — the same people who write the lists and build the generator, not an outsourced support desk.

We reply within five working days. If your message needs us to re-test something in an app, it may take the full five; a straightforward correction is usually same-week. If a week passes with no answer, send it again — a resend costs you nothing and mail does occasionally go missing.

Write in English if you can. We will still read messages in other languages, but a reply may take longer.

Report an error or a nickname that doesn’t work

Error reports are the most useful mail we get, so make them easy to act on. Four details are enough:

  1. The page link — paste the URL you were on.
  2. The exact nickname — copy and paste it rather than describing it; the characters matter.
  3. The app — Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, Discord or wherever it failed.
  4. What happened — rejected on save, showed as empty boxes, or pasted as plain letters.
What to include when you report a broken nickname to SnapNick
Four details turn a report into a fix: the link, the nickname, the app and what went wrong.

One thing worth checking first: if a nickname shows as empty boxes on your own screen, that usually means your device lacks a font for those characters, not that the nickname is broken. Paste it into the app before deciding — it often appears correctly there. If it still fails in the app, that is a genuine bug and we want to hear about it.

Copyright, trademark and takedown requests

Send takedown requests to the same address, with “Takedown” in the subject line. We act on valid notices and we do not require a lawyer to be involved.

To let us act quickly, tell us: the exact URL and the specific material on it, what right you hold and how we can verify it, and how to reach you. We will confirm receipt, remove or amend the material where the claim is sound, and tell you what we did. If we think a claim is mistaken we will say so and explain why rather than ignoring it.

SnapNick is not affiliated with any social platform. Names of apps appear on this site only to describe where a nickname can be used.

Who operates SnapNick

SnapNick is an independent website run by the SnapNick Editorial Team. It is not a registered company, and we do not publish a postal address or a phone number. Email is the only contact channel, and it is a real one — the address above reaches the people who make the site.

We would rather state that plainly than invent an office. More about how the site is run, and how we verify what we publish, is on the About page.

What we cannot help with

Some requests reach us often and we have to turn them all down, so it is fairer to say so up front:

  • Account recovery or unbanning. We have no connection to Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp or any other platform and cannot influence your account. Contact that platform’s support.
  • Checking whether a handle is free. We generate names; only the app itself can tell you if one is taken.
  • Changing your name for you. We can explain where a field accepts decorative characters, but you have to make the change in the app.
  • Promotional placements. We do not sell links, guest posts or mentions.

Frequently asked questions

How long will a reply take?

Within five working days. Requests that need us to re-test in an app take longer than simple corrections.

Is there a contact form?

No. Everything goes to [email protected]. A single inbox means nothing gets lost between systems, and you keep a copy of what you sent.

Can I suggest a nickname style or a name to cover?

Yes, and these are welcome. Tell us the style and the app you want it for. Suggestions that arrive repeatedly are the ones we build next.

Do I have to give personal details to contact you?

No. Send only what the message needs — a page link and the nickname is usually enough. We do not ask for identity documents and we do not need your account password for anything, ever.

I just want to make a nickname. Where do I start?

Go straight to SnapNick and type a word into the generator — no message to us required.
