What this site is
SnapNick is a nickname generator and reference site. The names, the style tables and the short guides are here for entertainment and inspiration — something to react to when you are staring at an empty name field. We check what we publish, but we do not promise that every detail is accurate or that a particular name will suit you.
Generated names are combinations, not advice
The generator recombines words and characters according to patterns. It has no way of knowing whether the result is already a registered trademark, a business, a band, a website or the name of somebody you know. Before you attach a name to anything involving money or reputation, check it yourself in the appropriate register. Nothing on this site is legal advice.
Styled characters do not look the same everywhere
The stylish letters this site produces are Unicode characters, not images. The same character can render perfectly on one phone and appear as an empty box on another, because each device ships a different set of fonts. That is a limitation of the device, not a copying error. Paste a name into a chat box and look at it before you commit to it.
Platform rules belong to the platform
Games, chat apps and social networks each set their own limits on name length and permitted characters, and their own conduct rules. Those rules change without notice, and a character that works today can be blocked in the next update. If a name is refused, shortened, reset or reported on a platform, that is between you and that platform. We are not responsible if an account is restricted because of a name chosen here.
Names suggested by visitors
Part of the name bank comes from visitor suggestions. They pass an automatic blocked-word and character filter before they are displayed, but they are not read by a person first, and no filter can anticipate every reading of a phrase. If you find something that points at a real person or crosses a line, report it through our contact page and we will remove it.

Game names, platform names, logos and brands mentioned on this site belong to their owners. SnapNick is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them. We name them only so you know which naming rule or character limit is being described.
