What the help page does not say is how styled letters are counted. Many fancy letters are stored as two code units instead of one, so a styled name can be “longer” than it looks. We measured some names from this page with code on 16 September 2026:

Two things stand out. Script and double-struck letters roughly double the UTF-16 count, while circled and full-width letters do not. And every plain name on this page, even the longest at 36 characters, sits far under 100 — so length only becomes a concern with heavy styling plus a long emoji string. If a styled name ever gets cut off, drop the frame symbols first.
